Fulfilling Sunday!

Slept @ 1.30am last night after finished blogging. Oops, almost couldn't wake up this morning. Daddy woke me up and I realised it was already 9.40am. Quickly gave Jeston his shower and prepared everything and left for the door.

Wanna daddy to send us there but worried there mebbe a traffic jam so decided to head for the mrt. Carried Jeston and ran all the way to the mrt. Luckily, a lady gave up her seat for Jeston as all the Reserved seating were occupied and no one offers their seats.

After that, the lady sitting besides Jeston felt pah sei and gave up her seat as well. Jeston kept asking where we were going. Told him we alighting @ Farrer Park where City Square Mall is located. Upon arrival, I started my marathon again with Jeston in my hands. Was panting while waiting for the lift.

The class was supposed to commence @ 10.30am. We reached the school on the 7th floor @ 10.45am. Nobody was there except for the instructor. Entered the same room we attended last week. Was told it was the smaller room instead.

If I had knew only we were the participants, I wouldn't have rushed like mad woman. There was supposed to be another student but think she back out the last minute. After a short while, the lady instructor entered our room.

She began by introducing the different tools which we would be using, the mixing bowl, weighing scale, metal specula, wooden mould, plastic bowls and spoons. The ingredients were Kou fen, icing sugar, shortening, pandan juice and colouring.

She asked to place the plastic bowl on the weighing scale. As the bowl weighs 32g, he had to press "Tare" button to reset it back to zero. After that, he gradually scooped spoonful of kou fen into the bowl. When 75g was reached, he poured these into the mixing bowl with both his hands.

He followed with the icing sugar and shortening. Thereafter, he used both his hands to mix the mixture which he enjoyed happily. Prior that, he head measured the required pandan juice with 2 drops of green colouring. He chose green out of pink, yellow and green.

As he was kneading the dough, the instructor helped to pour the pandan juice mix slowly into the dough. Finally, it was ready to make the mooncakes. He was supposed to sieve out 20g for each mooncake by using the weighing scale. After he got the mini dough, he flattened it and chose the lotus paste. We were given both lotus and red bean paste.

He made 13 mooncakes comprising of Tweety bird, Hello Kitty, Mickey mouse and Doraemon. After the mooncake session, he wanted to eat mian sian @ the kopitiam foodcourt. Explained to him daddy waiting for him and finally got him to get into the car by offering him the Pocky strawberry sticks.

Along the way, we wanna go Boon Keng to tabao but ended up in a coffeeshop selling transparent bak kit teh. Told daddy to just settle there for our lunch cos seems quite crowded and I love bak kit teh. We got a table fairly quickly and while Jeston was still enjoying his strawberry sticks, we were enjoying 2 bowls of bak kut teh, 1 bowl of braised pork leg and 1 serving of salted vegetables. They also served us the fritters.

After our lunch, we sent Jeston to my MIL's place. He asked me to wash his hands with him cos he knew I was leaving. I passed him to my MIL and left and he was crying quite loudly. Daddy then drove me back to our place void deck while I waited for L to pick me up for Soka meeting @ I's place @ Jurong West.

I hasn't been attending the meeting for quite a while as Jeston used to attend his Chinese classes on Sundays. now that we have switched these to Wednesdays, I finally got a chance to attend. As L and his family stayed around my place, I would usually get a lift from him.

He and his family picked me up. He had a pair of daughter and son. His daughter is in the police force while his wife has retired last year. Was chatting to his wife and daughter who were sitting in the back with me. We were toking abt my trip to Perth and their trip to South Korea back in May.

We reached I's place and I managed to catch up with another member staying @ CCK. She's helping her daughter to babysit her granddaughter. She told me her daughter is expecting her 2nd child due in Dec but she's still travelling.

Chatted with another lady helping out in one of the secondary school. She gotta deal with parents and teenagers but she find it very interesting job. She told me the teenagers can be very naive but there were also some who wee problematic. She mentioned parents these days who are more educated become more demanding.

Another member whom I just met twice told me she was introduced to Soka by her hubby who passed away. He was struggling with nose cancer but passes away peacefully. Told me Soka people helped her a lot. She's an indonesian and doing HR in Tuas. Need to do OT also. She's handling payroll for asia pacific hence not easy job. Need to know other jurisdiction regulations too.

She do yoga to relax and enrol in True Yoga where she paid $100+ monthly and unlimited visits for the classes. She invited me to join her @ orchard branch if I'm keen. Told her I would consider as I seldom exercise these days. Really accumulating fats around my waist oredi but not easy as I need to spend time with Jeston.

Then I spoke to I and she had been down with flu and MC for 2 days. She recommended a channel 5 magic variety show air @ 10pm every Sun. She said the show explained the methodologies behind the magic.

L & family then gave me a lift back and I reached home around 5pm. Many thanks to him otherwise I may need to take a very long time to travel via mrt. I hope to pick up my driving pretty soon so next time I can pick up my mum to go together.

James came to pick me up shortly to proceed to his granny's place where most of his family members gather almost every week. Met D, his uncle's wife who juz returned from Shanghai. She's back for a minor ops. Hope everything goes smoothly for her.

Jeston was quite frightened of her initially. But she managed to make him overcome the fright as she was very gd with kids. I bot 2 tix @ $2 each to the mooncake celebration @ Blk 306 Anchorvale Road when the RC ppl knocked @ my MIL's place. Hence, we proceeded to the celebration which began @ 7pm with Jeston, Berenice and my SIL.

We were entitled to 2 goodies bags but the items were miserable which included 2 blue plastic bags, 2 lanterns, 2 mini traditional mooncakes, 2 bottles of mineral water, etc. The area was quite enclosed thus we din stay for long and returned to James' granny's place. We stayed for a while more and headed home.
