Photoshoot @ The Studio Loft

Went for lunch with my colls, J and C, my ex-colls, CT, CL and M @ LPS. As I was on half day leave, J and C waited for me. We bot our individual lunches and started catching up. So surprised to hear that CL was few mths preg with a baby boy. She already had a girl and a boy who's same age as Jeston. She wanted to abort but was chided by her gynae and finally accepted the new member.

We then carried on women's gossip and James came to LPS to pick me up. Jeston was already sound asleep. He had lunch with daddy @ Hougang Mall and wetted his pants. Daddy gotta rush home to get a new pair of jeans for him.

It was drizzling so given no choice, we gotta wake up our lil' darling. He insisted on holding onto his Mickey blue umbrella. Daddy gotta carry him while I sheltered him using the big umbrella. We walked a distance to Pagoda Street where The Studio Loft was located. Wanted to park there initially but all carpark lots occupied.

It was housed in the 2nd floor hence we gradually accompanied Jeston slowly up the flight of stairs step by step. Left the umbrellas outside the shop and took off our footwear and entered the studio. There were 3 ladies. 1 photographer, 1 designer and 1 helper.

We waited for a while before they commenced the photoshoot. First scene was the tree on the wall while he sat on a green "horse". Second was a tent where Jeston kept hiding in. We had a hard time attracting him out to the entrance of the tent. Thereafter, it followed by lying on the floor with a rainbow color carpet.

Then we placed him seated above a white cabinet and I put on the tiger hat that my brother bot from Taiwan few yes back on him. Then we waited a while for another couple to finish their session. The lady was taking her pregnancy fotos. She checked whether we bot additional clothes for him but as i read from the ad it was only a 15mins session hence I din bring extra.

Then the photographer let down blue curtains and the fotoshoot began again. Thereafter it was followed by fotos taken on a chair. It was about half an hour session in all. The entire session was $50 plus 2 edited soft copies. I bot all the soft copies which cost another 200 bucks. Very heartache but no choice cos so many fotos of Jeston.

I was asked to pay cash but as I do not have sufficient cash. I gotta made a trip to Outram mrt to draw from the ATM and then returned to the studio. They promised to send the fotos to us by end of the week.

It was still drizzling. We then made our way back to the carpark and drove home.

Fulfilling Sunday!

Slept @ 1.30am last night after finished blogging. Oops, almost couldn't wake up this morning. Daddy woke me up and I realised it was already 9.40am. Quickly gave Jeston his shower and prepared everything and left for the door.

Wanna daddy to send us there but worried there mebbe a traffic jam so decided to head for the mrt. Carried Jeston and ran all the way to the mrt. Luckily, a lady gave up her seat for Jeston as all the Reserved seating were occupied and no one offers their seats.

After that, the lady sitting besides Jeston felt pah sei and gave up her seat as well. Jeston kept asking where we were going. Told him we alighting @ Farrer Park where City Square Mall is located. Upon arrival, I started my marathon again with Jeston in my hands. Was panting while waiting for the lift.

The class was supposed to commence @ 10.30am. We reached the school on the 7th floor @ 10.45am. Nobody was there except for the instructor. Entered the same room we attended last week. Was told it was the smaller room instead.

If I had knew only we were the participants, I wouldn't have rushed like mad woman. There was supposed to be another student but think she back out the last minute. After a short while, the lady instructor entered our room.

She began by introducing the different tools which we would be using, the mixing bowl, weighing scale, metal specula, wooden mould, plastic bowls and spoons. The ingredients were Kou fen, icing sugar, shortening, pandan juice and colouring.

She asked to place the plastic bowl on the weighing scale. As the bowl weighs 32g, he had to press "Tare" button to reset it back to zero. After that, he gradually scooped spoonful of kou fen into the bowl. When 75g was reached, he poured these into the mixing bowl with both his hands.

He followed with the icing sugar and shortening. Thereafter, he used both his hands to mix the mixture which he enjoyed happily. Prior that, he head measured the required pandan juice with 2 drops of green colouring. He chose green out of pink, yellow and green.

As he was kneading the dough, the instructor helped to pour the pandan juice mix slowly into the dough. Finally, it was ready to make the mooncakes. He was supposed to sieve out 20g for each mooncake by using the weighing scale. After he got the mini dough, he flattened it and chose the lotus paste. We were given both lotus and red bean paste.

He made 13 mooncakes comprising of Tweety bird, Hello Kitty, Mickey mouse and Doraemon. After the mooncake session, he wanted to eat mian sian @ the kopitiam foodcourt. Explained to him daddy waiting for him and finally got him to get into the car by offering him the Pocky strawberry sticks.

Along the way, we wanna go Boon Keng to tabao but ended up in a coffeeshop selling transparent bak kit teh. Told daddy to just settle there for our lunch cos seems quite crowded and I love bak kit teh. We got a table fairly quickly and while Jeston was still enjoying his strawberry sticks, we were enjoying 2 bowls of bak kut teh, 1 bowl of braised pork leg and 1 serving of salted vegetables. They also served us the fritters.

After our lunch, we sent Jeston to my MIL's place. He asked me to wash his hands with him cos he knew I was leaving. I passed him to my MIL and left and he was crying quite loudly. Daddy then drove me back to our place void deck while I waited for L to pick me up for Soka meeting @ I's place @ Jurong West.

I hasn't been attending the meeting for quite a while as Jeston used to attend his Chinese classes on Sundays. now that we have switched these to Wednesdays, I finally got a chance to attend. As L and his family stayed around my place, I would usually get a lift from him.

He and his family picked me up. He had a pair of daughter and son. His daughter is in the police force while his wife has retired last year. Was chatting to his wife and daughter who were sitting in the back with me. We were toking abt my trip to Perth and their trip to South Korea back in May.

We reached I's place and I managed to catch up with another member staying @ CCK. She's helping her daughter to babysit her granddaughter. She told me her daughter is expecting her 2nd child due in Dec but she's still travelling.

Chatted with another lady helping out in one of the secondary school. She gotta deal with parents and teenagers but she find it very interesting job. She told me the teenagers can be very naive but there were also some who wee problematic. She mentioned parents these days who are more educated become more demanding.

Another member whom I just met twice told me she was introduced to Soka by her hubby who passed away. He was struggling with nose cancer but passes away peacefully. Told me Soka people helped her a lot. She's an indonesian and doing HR in Tuas. Need to do OT also. She's handling payroll for asia pacific hence not easy job. Need to know other jurisdiction regulations too.

She do yoga to relax and enrol in True Yoga where she paid $100+ monthly and unlimited visits for the classes. She invited me to join her @ orchard branch if I'm keen. Told her I would consider as I seldom exercise these days. Really accumulating fats around my waist oredi but not easy as I need to spend time with Jeston.

Then I spoke to I and she had been down with flu and MC for 2 days. She recommended a channel 5 magic variety show air @ 10pm every Sun. She said the show explained the methodologies behind the magic.

L & family then gave me a lift back and I reached home around 5pm. Many thanks to him otherwise I may need to take a very long time to travel via mrt. I hope to pick up my driving pretty soon so next time I can pick up my mum to go together.

James came to pick me up shortly to proceed to his granny's place where most of his family members gather almost every week. Met D, his uncle's wife who juz returned from Shanghai. She's back for a minor ops. Hope everything goes smoothly for her.

Jeston was quite frightened of her initially. But she managed to make him overcome the fright as she was very gd with kids. I bot 2 tix @ $2 each to the mooncake celebration @ Blk 306 Anchorvale Road when the RC ppl knocked @ my MIL's place. Hence, we proceeded to the celebration which began @ 7pm with Jeston, Berenice and my SIL.

We were entitled to 2 goodies bags but the items were miserable which included 2 blue plastic bags, 2 lanterns, 2 mini traditional mooncakes, 2 bottles of mineral water, etc. The area was quite enclosed thus we din stay for long and returned to James' granny's place. We stayed for a while more and headed home.

Jeston's maternal grandparents' day!

Hubby woke me up this morning.  Was so exhausted.  Jeston has already woken and was watching The Little Einstens - The Christmas Wish.  He alwis formed his own rocket space by using stools and his chair.

His "self created" rocket

Helped Jeston to shower and we left for The Olive Tree Family Clinic and Surgery @ Anchorvale Link again.  Called beforehand and was told we might need to wait for about half an hour.  So left around 10 plus.  We got the queue no. 33 and it was then only 25.  Daddy dropped us off while he went to pump his tyre.

As it was still some time away before we get to see the doctor, we headed to the hawker next door for breakfast.  I bot chwee kuey for myself and chee cheong fun for him without any sweet sauce.  Luckily, i alwis bot the mini set of hello kitty cutlery whenever we go out.  I passed him the mini fork for him to pick up the chee cheong fun.  He was enjoying his breakfast.  Paid S$1.80 for both which was quite reasonable compared to other places.

Chwee Kuey

We then returned to the clinic to wait patiently for our turn.  Jeston was playing the toys at the kids corner, building "an ambulance" using the big blocks.

@ the clinic
It was finally our turn.  Explained to the doctor that it had been 2 weeks since Jeston developed his diaper rashes.  It seems that he still has a bit reddish around his buttocks.  The doc checked his buttocks and mentioned the skin already started to turn brownish and it's gradually recovering.  Asked him to check his ears as he had ear infection when he was @ Albany Region Hospital.  He checked both sides using the ear magnifying equipment and found nuthing.  We were relieved to hear that.

Next was mummy's turn.  Told the doc my eyes had been reddish on and off though i finished the medicine he prescribed and applied the eye cream and lotion.  He explained my eyes were sensitive and there was no infection.  He enquired any recent change of environment which i declined.  He said if i wanna be more assured, i can either go to AMK private practice eye specialist and visit the polyclinic which will then refer me to the National Eye Centre to double check.  Of coz, the latter will be cheaper.  I opted for the second choice.  To my surprise, the doc only charged us for Jeston's washing liquid which costs S$6.  He waived our consultation.  He's really a nice and not those commercial doc out to earn money.  Highly recommend him.

Daddy, unknowing that Jeston already ate chee cheong fun, bot 1 packet for him again.  He was consuming it along the way to White Sands for his music class.  Din allow him to finish the entire packet as it was too much for him.  He was watching Little Einsteins using the ipad youtube inside the car.  We reached the school earlier and headed to the washroom as he wanna pee.  But besides peeing, he also pooed.  Luckily, the ladies toilet in White Sands 5th floor had a built in mini toilet bowl for kiddies in the first cubicle which proved to be very useful.  It also has a lower basin for kids to wash their hands.

Thought that we would be late but turned out that Teacher Fiona hasnt ended her earlier class.  Waited shortly and saw the students exiting the classroom.  Jeston's other classmates slowly strolled in.  She informed us she cant attend one of the Oct class and suggested to make up for it by extending 15mins for 3 Oct sessions.  All of us agreed.  We commenced with the usual hello song.  There were 3 girls and 2 boys including Jeston in the class.  Thereafter, Jeston and another girl, M, started the game where both parents took turns to clap the beats, then Jeston supposed to count the no. of beats and showed me the right numerical card and placed it under the correct number of notes.

M was supposed to turn the number of beads for the no. of beats using a wooden mathematical toy.  After we completed the 4 sessions of 1 to 4 counts, Jeston exchanged the cards with M.  The rest of the class were practising the keyboards.  Jeston was still unable to focus on the right keys for the keyboard.  It was not easy to teach him as he do not like to be forced using his fingers.  Looks like i gotta be more patient before he can master the right fingers for the right keys.  We ended the class with a goodbye song.

Daddy already tabaoed our lunches from one of the hawker so we headed home.  Jeston had fish soup with rice while we had otah, duck and roasted meat for lunch.  After lunch, wanted to coax Jeston to sleep but he was wide awake.  So i suggested we take the mrt to my mum's place and he was excited about taking mrt.  Daddy was already sleeping.  I helped him to change and got ready.  There was no seat so i asked a young chap to give up the priority seat.  Nowadays, people are very inconsiderate even if they witness you carrying young kids.

After 2 commuters alighted, we managed to get seats for both Jeston and myself.  Along the way in the mrt, i noticed the ladies, an auntie and her daughter smiling.  Realised Jeston was almost dozing off in his seat.  I pulled him over my side and he dozed off.  Upon reaching Outram mrt, i carried him and walked all the way to transit to Tiong Bahru mrt.  Luckily, when we entered the mrt, a nice lady gave her seat to me as she saw me carrying Jeston.  After we reached Tiong Bahru mrt control, i gotta ask Jeston to wake up to reach for my wallet.  Wanted to bring him to my mum's place but as he had woke up, i bot him to Tiong Bahru Plaza to meet up with my secondary school friend, L as she was leaving for UK on Sun night to pursue her masters for a year.

Wanna pass her a portable iron.  Met her @ Four Leaves where i was getting bread for Jeston.  We settled down on a dessert shop.  I had walnut paste, Jeston had half bowl of almond paste and L had black sesame paste.  It was her treat.  She was amazed by how much Jeston has grown as she hasnt seen him since his baby shower.  Was glad to hear that she got scholarship for her masters.  She was a primary school chinese teacher.  Juz finished her last day in school yesterday so she was very busy packing her luggage.  She told me she bot a 29" luggage and the luggage limit is 29kg.  She was very worried it would be overweight.

Advised her to reach the airport early tomorrow as she might need to pay for the extra capacity of the luggage.  We then proceeded to Watsons where she did some last minute shopping for her journey.  Jeston spotted the Pocky strawberry sticks so I bot 2 boxes for S$1.95 as it was on offer.

He quickly asked me to open 1 box for him.  He offered one stick to L.  I called my sis as she was also heading to my mum's place.  Thot of getting a lift from her but she was still held up at work.  Hence, i decided to take the bus to my mum's place.  Bade farewell to L and told her would try to send her off tomorrow if i can.  After alighting from the bus via the front door, Jeston waved goodbye to the bus driver where he waved back.  I carried him to my mum's place.  My brother whom Jeston is very scared of opened the door for us.  Met my mum's neighbour's grandson.  Asked Jeston to offer one pocky stick to korkor which he did.

He was already asking for my brother-in-law the moment he stepped into my mum's place.  Was already asking whether we heading to yi zhang's place when we left our place on the way to the mrt.  Asked him whether he wanna stay over @ his place, he nodded his head.  He loves to play with my bro-in-law.  Before he arrived, he played with the toy gun my father bot for him with my bro's girlfriend, T.  She bot a barney sticker book for him.  But he was more keen in playing with her.

My mum cooked fried rice with eggs and boiled ginseng soup for dinner tonight.  She separately cooked vege and white rice for T as she dun take fried rice.  My sis arrived shortly while i was cutting kiwi for Jeston.  She bot along the blue tricycle she bot for Jeston's birthday.  He was very happee and started riding it.

Jeston's birthday gift from Ah Yi & Yi Zhang
Besides that, my bro-in-law bot him a Giordano polo tee when they went shopping yesterday as he had a similar one hence bot one for Jeston too.  It was a bit too big as it was meant for 7 to 8 years old.  But kids grow very fast and am sure Jeston can wear it in no time.  Many thanks to Cor and her hubby for the great gifts.

My father bot Jeston out with the tricycle to ride.  They returned sweatly.  Jeston asked maternal grandpa to give him a ride as he cant really ride well.  Thereafter, my bro-in-law came and Jeston was overjoyed.  His "buddy" was here to play with him.  They played in my mum's room on her bed.  I had my fried rice with egg and luncheon meat (my bro-in-law's favourite).  After my mum cooked Jeston's threadfin fish, i fed Jeston his dinner.  He formed a train using the chairs and asked my bro-in-law to be the driver by using the cushion as steering wheel. Very imaginative.  He asked ah yi to be the passenger and he acted as one too.  While i was feeding, he was busy shifting around.

He finally finished his rice.  My sis and her hubby then bot him out with his tricycle.  Returned perspiring too as they played hide and seek.  Haha, i was enjoying the kopi that my mum made.  We then sent my mum to Depot road for her Soka gathering.  Jeston wanna sit alone besides ah yi who was driving.  My sis wanted me to sit with him but he refused so we sat behind them.  He was pressing and turning the buttons in the car out of curosity.  He wasnt even interested to wave goodbye to my mum when she alighted.

We then headed back to my mum's place and met daddy in the carpark.  Daddy bot the souvenirs from Perth for my mum and sis.  Gave my mum a packet of Mondo nougats, one choc bar and a magnet and my sis a kitchen glove and a packet of choc from the choc factory at Swan Valley.  Jeston continued to play with both Cor & her hubby while daddy and i enjoyed ourselves watching Ai.

I then gave Jeston his shower and he continued to play with yi zhang.  By then, it was almost 10pm.  I called my mum to inform her we would be fetching her.  My bro-in-law then helped daddy to place the tricycle in his boot and we fetched my mum back home.  She was amazed we stayed so long at her place.  Jeston fell asleep shortly on our way home.  Guess he was too tired as he din really catch his nap today.

TGIF

Jeston was late this morning again, arriving at 9.50am cos i let him sleep for a while more as he seems very exhausted.  Prepared Pandan bread with peanut butter (his favourite) for him.  Dressed him in his school tee which is a requirement for every Friday.  As usual, he bot his Mickey buddy to school today.  Daddy placed the Little Einsteins DVD which i bot yesterday into his bag for him to view @ my MIL's place in the afternoon.

Jeston's school tee
Pink Dress
Wore a long sleeve pink dress today cos C helped me gua sha on both my arms last night so there were marks on them.  It's a tight fitting dress so my big boss thought i'm heading for a hot date tonight.  I LS twice after drinking the ang mo kopi from our office kopi machine.  Been drinking tat for the past few mths which pose no problem.  Mebbe my stomach putting on a strike today hence juz had liang tou fu for lunch today.  Something light.  Went with my coll, J, to jalan jalan @ Tanjong Pagar mrt exchange.  She bot a grey top which was on sale.

Wanna get a dark pink dress for my MIL but dunno whether she likes it so decided to take a snapshot using my hp.  But the sales assistant was very hostile and told us no photo taking allowed.  Prior to that, J was trying on a lacy black top which was too tight for her but the sales assistant insisted it was just nice.  Very bad service.  We decided to boycott that shop.  Neway, her clothes are not cheap.  Even at least S$60 after discount.  Went personally to submit my medical claims @ our co's insurance co.  They took months to process our medical claims.....gosh!  Juz received my reimbursement for claim i submitted in June.

Still rushing my quarterly accounts....My coll, S, striked toto but not the BIG winner.....she won S$20.  Better than nuthing cos i only stroke 1 no.  Told her she got beginner's luck.  She said she gonna try all the rest like soccer betting, etc.....haha.  Im not soooo lucky, din even strike when i first bot toto.  No luck on lotteries but tat doesnt stop me from carrying on my toto dream....keke

Am also v unlucky when buying shares cos the moment i sell, the share price will rise.....Got similar encounters recently.....sold my Capitaland Mall Asia shares @ S$2.13 when I bot it @ S$2.12 as it has been dropping for the past few mths.  After i disposed them, it went up to S$2.23.....gek sim.....My coll, C, told me Genting shares can buy and that was then @ S$1.10.  I din buy cos scared will drop again.  I went up to as high as $2.04.  Sighz, guess i dun have the luck and the time to monitor the movements.

Met my secondory school buddy, C, for dinner @ PS Crystal Jade Kitchen.  We had Chicken, xiao kai lan and soup for dinner.   She love the soup over there.  I love to drink soup too though im not a cantonese.  But i seldom get to drink them cos i normally dine out or tabao during wkdays.  Will grab the chance to drink more when my mum boils different soup every Sat when I return home for dinner.  My MIL also boils soup but cos my working hours used to be inflexible so already settled my dinner outside long time ago.  C was telling me about her wedding plans as she's getting ROM on 1st Dec 2010 and married in March 2011.  Gonna help to be her jie mei and recept.  Had a great catch up as we proceeded to McDonalds for drinks after visiting the Hello Kitty shop which was her favourite.

Oopz, forgot about the time so by the time i reached home, it was 10 plus.  Jeston and daddy returned shortly after my shower.

Tiring Day

Tried to wake up early today but juz cldnt pull myself up. Supposed to wake up at 6.30am but I only dragged myself up at 7.15am. Quickly cleaned up and left my place around 7 plus. Managed to reach Chung Hwa at 8.12am.

My, J, smsed me that she bot my favourite chwee kuey from Tiong Bahru for breakfast......yum yum.....

Chwee Kuey
Had lunch with my colls, A & S today. We went to IP Kia Xiang for lunch. A suggested eating the claypot rice but she dun exactly know which rest. When I mentioned any Kia Xiang, she said it was the one. But they dun serve Claypot rice but Claypot herbal chicken instead. We also ordered tofu omelette and sambal kangkong. All of us ordered warm barley drinks. Had a very satisfying meal.

Luckily we went early cos it was very packed by the time we left. The cashier juz approached us for payment, hinting time to leave. We then went to buy toto and headed to coffeebean for drinks. A drank a bottled of ready to go kopi, S had a pc of cheesecake and u had sunrise. We were mumbling on fei hua till it was time to depart as A had a mtg later.

Though I obtained the ticket no. 751 which was smaller than what I got last week (755) from Chung Hwa, my mum and I ended up being the 7th & 8th patients. We almost wasted our trip there cos the new receptionist told us C (the Chinese pysician) already accepted up to 6 which was the max. I told her that I already informed C that we were coming and she was willing to accept us as her last 2 patients. But she wasn't convinced and wanted C to sign on the queue no. Told her possible to speak to C over the phone as I could call her but she refused. She was very rigid. I quickly called C up and she explained she was on the way as she was near the swimming pool. I told her it's alright if she can't accept us cos it'll be very late for her. She was v nice and rushed to meet me at the recept and gave us her autograph.

Returned to Ms Rigid and she finally willing to key into the System for me. They employed a security guard to guard the queue no machine. We can visit the hospital to get the queue no for morning. afternoon and evening sessions in the morning from 7.30am. There are kiasu patients who arrived at 3 plus and put newspaper and umbrellas and returned home. When they returned the next day, they realized their items were gone and started quarreling with the hospital staff.

Hence, the management decided to get the security guide to monitor the machine. Haha, got the story above from the security guide. He juz started work last week and stayed in Serangoon. Already retired with a daughter so he juz join to kill time. He mentioned the parking here costs a buck an hour hence he din drive here. Was eating my home cooked bee hoon by my noble mummy in the recept area. He explained food prohibited and asked me to eat outside where there are seats. I secretly makan at one end after registering for C. Really enjoyed home cooked food cos outside food alwis have lotsa MSG. Finished the entire bowl of bee hoon and egg. My mum also prepared one more serving for C.

She cooked fried rice for us last week. It's almost 9pm and we are still waiting patiently for C to finish the 6th patient who is the hubby of an old lady (she was the 5th patient). My mum is chatting with her now. They stayed in Bishan so also came very early. Finally we gotta see her @ 9 plus. James was already waiting in the carpark. It was 10pm by the time we left. We sent mum to Toa Payoh mrt and C to Punggol before heading to my MIL's place to puck up Jeston. He was patiently waiting for us. I showed him a Little Einstein DVD on Xmas which I bot for him @ Raffles mrt today. He was excited and wanna watch immediately. Told him to bring to ah ma's house to view tomorrow. We slept @ 11pm plus cos of mummy's fault.

My attire today
