A long while

It's been quite some time since I last blogged. I have been diligently taking Jeston's fotos daily but been excusing myself from blogging....haha...It took a while to download fotos to flickr hence I find it a chore to upload the fotos which I can attach to the blog.

Last sat was Jeston's first lesson @ Creative learn & play held @ Seng Kang CC. The class started @ 9.30am but we were earlier as I din know the exact location of the class. I missed the first session the previous week as I only found out about this class last Sun.

There were more than 10 kids in the class. Jeston din wanna let go of my hand & clung tightly. Ms Tan, the teacher allowed me to stay in the class with him. They commenced the class with songs where they danced then walked around the class.

Classroom was quite big. They followed by coloring a Choo Choo train. As I din know we need to bring the stationery, a kind gal older than Jeston lent him the Colour pencils. At one moment, Ms Tan asked Jeston why he needed mummy to stay inside the classroom.

She asked him whether he was Jeston girl as boys don't cry. If he kept tearing, she was going to throw mummy in the dustbin. Poor Jeston was frightened and continued weeping. I sat @ the corner in the back and just looked at them.

Though my heart ached to see him crying pitifully but I wanted him to learn to be more independent. He was better after drinking water. He finally cooled down after a while and focused on colouring his train.

Ms Tan then asked for his name and he spelled his name for her correctly. She then asked him to write his name on the sheet. He managed to write though his E & S weren't exactly correct as they reflected the mirror image. But great efforts. Ms Tan then held his hands and re-scribbled his name again.

They sang song about the choo choo train after the train coloring. The class then ended and Ms Tan asked me to arrive 5 mins later for the next class after everyone has settled down. Easier for him to warm up and advised me to wait outside the class for him.

Don't have a good impression of Ms Tan as every kid is told to remove their shoes while she, herself can wear her shoes inside the class. The only thing good about her is that she is stern enough hence the kids are frightened of her.

Was sharing with my MIL and SIL about this and they commented not all the teachers teaching in the CC are good but i already paid $90 including $10 for the material for the class. My SIL suggested I changed class or asked for refund. Will let him try for one more class before I decide.

After the class, daddy picked us & ferried us to White Sands for his Seimpi music class. There were only 3 of us last Sat. D & R did not attend. Jeston was not attentive and did not heed instruction to do the exercises. He wasn't interested in playing the keyboard as well. Kept imitatiing e monster stunt he watched on Ben 10.

Fiona concentrated on the other 2 gals instead. Decided to let Jeston continued till Apr. He began @ Seimpi Hougang last Apr so he has been there for more than a year. Will be signing him for MYC @ Hougang instead. More convenient for us. After the class, we headed home for nap.

On last Sunday, it was another busy day. We headed to MIL's place for lunch and rushed to L Central @ Yio Chu Kang road for Jeston's assessment. He was assessed by teacher Fiona who is the wife of the principal.

She suggested Jeston to join the Launchpad class instead of Foundation catered usually for N1 & N2. She said Jeston was really for Launchpad as he knew the first sound of words.

I then attended a workshop about the school as last Sunday happened to be the open house too. There were only another mummy and I. Jeston was playing outside and waiting for me till daddy joined him. He got himself machine gun and ball balloons.

We then proceeded to Suntec for his MYC trial class @ 5pm. As it was still early, we settled down @ coffee and toast for 2 kopi & peanut toast bread. Damage $4.50.

We proceeded to Kidzacademy exhibition and browsed through most of the stalls. We bot a set of 2 tins of 1.6kg with 700g free of S-26 milk for $79.40. It was on offer by carrefour. Jeston drank almost 8 mini cups of the milk. I registered for few free trial classes which they will call me up.

We headed to the room for trial class. Before the class commenced, Jeston wanna pee. Daddy met my poly classmate, LL and her family. I passed Jeston to daddy, said hi and returned to the room. Jeston joined me shortly.

The class taught about characters for the kids to remember placement of the kids and characters for them to imitate. Jeston enjoyed the class hence i decided to sign for MYC @ Hougang. After the class, due to lack of napping, Jeston started throwing tantrum. he juz went out of our sight.

Managed to locate him quickly behind the door. Daddy carried him and we headed to my mum's place. He wanted to poo but didnt wanna visit the toilet so I changed the diaper for him inside the car.

What a wkend!
