Last day of school

Helped Jeston prepare his snack for his year end party in school today. Hours were as normal. Packed Quaker whole grain oats cereals, The Natural snakes candies and Rochelle chocolates for
him. Then we sent him to school. He asked daddy to fetch him after school which daddy eventually din.

Headed to McDonalds to tabao the $2 sausage muffin meal and redeemed my hash brown which I have got from consumption of the extra value meal for dinner previously. Was chewing on the hash brown halfway and I reached the mrt. Left the remaining half to be eaten in the office,

Thot I needed to stay OT today as I needed to prepare some 2010 Pre-Audit deliverables for my client but managed to do it in time. Went to lunch with my coll, Jo at Shenton way. It was her treat again where we shared one lettuce roots soup, 1 veggie and 1 chicken chop. I blanjahed her for the teh O.

Been undergoing training this week from a colleague from Luxembourg. He was an ACCA FCCA. Hence, shelved some of my non urgent work aside to
Go through the training. We had a conference call due to a new service introduced by one of our client's provider at 6pm.

My coll, A wanted to head for Mcdonalds to tabao dinner before the call but I was still in training so we din. After the call, we cleared some work and left office together to head to Boat Quay McDonalds for dinner. We were the last 2 to leave the office. Wanted to try our luck at the monopoly game. Top prize was s$80,000.

Took mrt to my MIL's place. Wanted to head home then I called my fren, Y to check whether she was at home as the gift I bot for her 4months old son was still in my MIL's place. Met Berenice, James' cousin at my MIL's place. I took Jeston and we walked to Y's house as Jeston was attending the same school as Y's daughter, S.

Y stayed in an EA. She was surprised when I reached within minutes since it was only few blocks away. Her son was sleeping and S was happy to see Jeston. They had a big toy house and a slide in the living room. Jeston had a great time playing with S while I chatted with Y.

Her hubby was busy in the study room. Her place was very big with a big kitchen and big living room with 125 square meters. Envied her for getting such a big apartment but the monthly installment wasn't cheap. If only I had such big kitchen, mebbe I would start polishing my culinary skills....haha, lame excuse.

Daddy finished class so rang me. Told him to pick us at Y's house. After we left, we headed to my MIL's place to pick up his schoolbag and my iPad.

Hence. It was 11 plus by the time Jeston turned in....

Changi Beach again

Mommy slept late last nite hence woke up around 10am today. Had watsapped Lois yesterday using daddy's iPhone but din receive her reply. She watsapped James at 8 plus and daddy told her I was still in bed. Jeston had woke up at 7.30am and watched super readers on iPad all the way till I woke up.

Helped him to change and packed the necessary stuff. We then headed to Hougang Green to get lunch for my FIL. James thot parking was free since it was PH (Hari Raya Haji) but he was wrong and paid $2.15 for less than half an hour. He felt the pinch. We waited in the car for daddy while he went to tabao.

I helped Jeston cut his fingernails using the orangy light inside the car. After I completed, I asked Jeston to shout for daddy and he would appear. He really did that. James returned shortly. He bot fish slice soup with rice and chwee kway for my FIL. He tabaoed mixture of chee cheong fun, chwee kway and glutinous rice, 3-in-1 for $2 and 2 pieces of chee cheong fun for Jeston. Also tabaoed 1 kopi for me.

Picked up Jeston's beach toys at my FIL's place. Daddy then drove us to Changi Beach. Called Lois and told her we were on the way. They were waiting for her hubby to get changed. Both of us reached Changi Beach almost at the same time but we were a bit earlier. Carpark was full.

We arranged to meet at carpark one. Lois rang me and i told her I would be alighting with Jeston while James looked for a lot. She did the same. I spread the mat on the grass and took out Jeston's toys and he sat on the plastic bag I placed on the sand. Started digging the sand into his pail and transferred to the spot where he was.

Lois and her daughter, Ariel joined us shortly. Passed my cap to Ariel as her mummy had forgotten to bring for her. She rejected and also refused to sit on the plastic bag I gave her. She squatted on the sand. We built a mountain between them. Jeston had put on his sunglasses as it was blazing under the noon sun.

James bot a big umbrella from his car and Lois held it for them while I was enjoying my brunch and kopi. It gradually became cooler. Lois took a rest while I played with the kids. James joined us shortly and ate part of my brunch before heading to Changi Village to try his luck on the lottery.

Lois' hubby, Alex also managed to find a carpark lot. They drove here in Lois' Honda Fit. Jeston and Ariel had fun time playing with the sand building castle and toys to mould out the shapes. Alex arrived shortly and bot kopi for Lois. They took turns to play with Ariel.

Alex bot ice-cream for Jeston and Ariel. Told him Jeston couldn't eat that as he was still experiencing cough. Alex then shared the cone with Lois. Ariel decided to rest after a while and they encouraged Jeston to take a break too. Opened the chee cheong fun that James bot for Jeston to eat.

Asked my lil' darling to share with Ariel. Lois told me Ariel had not tried that before. She like it too. Daddy din add any sauce. Ariel then fed her mummy using the fork. They only ate a few and Jeston finished the whole packet. Then we strolled to the external shower area to clean them.

James went along with us to wash the beach toys. I helped Jeston to shower but as the shower head was fixed, I gotta forced him to stand underneath and applied the shampoo cum bath on him. He cried non-stop and refused to let me carry on. Wanted him to shower cos he woke up early and I believed he would fall asleep on the way home. I was right.

As Jeston did not co-operate, James gotta help me and his shorts was wet so he din wanna head to Changi Airport for lunch which I proposed to Lois earlier. Told Lois James gotta head home to change and they dun mind having lunch at the kopitiam near our place.

James returned home to change while we waited in the car. Jeston fell asleep. I went ahead to meet Lois at the kopitiam while he bot Jeston home. It was drizzling. It was about 2pm. Lois had bot fish slice soup and rice for Ariel. She had a hard time feeding her as she din wanna eat.

Ariel told me her throat pain pain when she swallowed the rice. I took out the hello kitty cutlery set which I always bring out with me. Passed her the spoon and coaxed her that hello kitty was smiling at her when she swallowed the food. Managed to coax her to eat the rice. Lois had wanted to get spaghetti for her but the stall was closed.

After Alex finished his lunch, he took over. Lois also bot laksa which I juz had earlier. We chatted for a while before Ariel finally finished her lunch. Lois told me Ariel usually required 1.5 hours to finish her lunch. I agreed and was showing Lois about the vendor selling cute and pretty clothing in facebook.

Ariel was about to doze off so we decided to call it a day. Alex then gave me a lift home. I used the receipt from
Kopitiam and folded a mini crane for her. When I reached home at around 4 plus, I was exhausted. As I hadn't had my shower, took a few winks on the sofa and the next moment, Jeston was beside me.

Played with him for a while and James soaked the marconi and dried scallop to prepare his dinner. He then went out to tabao dinner. Told him I will juz cooked Korean instant noodles for myself. Cut ale for Jeston and stared cooking his maconi. Added the threadfin fillet.

I cooked my instant noodles with the threadfin fillet so James said I wasted the fish by cooking in instant noodles. Anyway, we had our fill. After a while, I helped Jeston to have a quick shower. Off to bed at 10pm.

Monday again!

Jeston bot a mini rocket toy to school today and asked daddy to bring his Mickey to ah ma's place. I bot a ham chin beng from the coffeeshop near my office. Err..... Cold and very oily. Managed to consume 2/3 of it.

Diligently drinking my kopi from our office kopi machine and added the collagen powder daily. Then gotta rushed work again. Went with my coll, Jo for lunch at one of the coffeeshop near SGX centre. Both of us had the vegetarian bee hoon at $2.50 which was quite tasty. She blanjahed me to kopi.

Then met my MIL at Tanjong Pagar mrt. Supposed to meet her at 12.30pm but she was late so o browsed a fortune magazine at Guardian. Dog has most luck in rabbit year next year. Mine was so so....sob sob.

Then my MIL called and arrived at 12.50pm. Bot her to SGX centre 2 as she wanted to open CDP account. James wanted to driver her and Jeston to meet me but told him parking too exp. Hence she took the mrt. There was quite a long queue. Finally it was our turn and the lady told her she already got an account.

I filled in the form for updating of address and application for internet access for her. Luckily she didn't have to open new account otherwise we were required to wait for 30mins. Then we asked for forms for Internet access for my SIL. She juz needed to fill and post using the prepaid envelope.

My MIL din have to go down SGX personally as she only needed to mail the forms. Din want her to waste her trip so I bot her to Philips Capital along Robinson Road to open her trading account as she needed to go personally to the branch to open new trading account.

Then bot her to Raffles mrt to take the train so that she could alight at Dhoby Gaut to transit to NEL. She wanted to subscribe for DBS preference shares hence wanted to open CDP account. I then headed back to office.

Got a Lao Po Bing from the pantry. It was complimentary from my coll, A who juz returned from conference in HK last week. Knocked off and tabaoed dinner from the kopitiam near my place. Had fried fish bee hoon soup and watched a bit of recorded 女人我最大. Interesting show on skincare for ladies from Taiwan.

Was on the net and facebook waiting for daddy to fetch Jeston home. James called and told me jeston slept at 8 plus as he din have afternoon nap. So poor mummy missing him again.....

Sleepy Sunday

Due to late night last night, I woke up very late today at almost 10 plus. Was telling Jeston that I wanna bring him to eat pancakes. But by the time daddy sent us there and we ran from the carpark to McDonalds, was soooooo disappointed to see the lunch menu on display. The weekend lunch has been extended to noon but we still couldn't make it. Sorry, Jeston.

The next moment, I saw a puddle of water on the floor where the lil' fellow was standing. Oopz! He had urinated cos he wasn't wearing any diaper. Quickly bot him to the nursing room on the 5th floor to help him change. He has grew to a habit of not informing us when he wanna pee. Was reprimanding him.

Luckily mummy alwis bot an extra set of clothing out. Was changing him and daddy appeared. He took the wet sandals to the toilet next door to dry them. Daddy spotted a clown making balloons. There was a mini spot bear him with costumes. The clown told us that we need to spend $50 to get the balloon and for Jeston to change into the costume to get a snapshot.

I enquired Semphi music whether I could made the payment for Jeston's dec fees over here for the class at White Sands but was told it would be difficult for their accounts. Thot that getting tickets at the sistic outlet would help but not included under the promo.

We were at the sistic outlet to get tickets for Pinocchio. A 5 year old boy was crying bitterly as he had lost his parents. A auntie at the queue passed him a pc of tissue. Someone had passed him to the security guard. The cust svc tried to calm him down and made the annoucement. I tried to be helpful by telling her she may like to announce what the boy was wearing but she bluntly replied that she knew what to say.

I got the tix and paid $53 after 15% discount from Maybank. Witnessed the little boy's dad retrieving the boy. The boy was supposed to follow his mum but guessed he juz left her sight. Told Jeston to cling on to me otherwise he would end up like the little boy, crying for daddy and mummy when he got lost. Daddy further emphasized to him.

We headed to kopitiam after this for lunch. Daddy bot mixed fish consisting of fish slice and fried fish soup for us. Jeston loved the soup and kept refilling her bowl with it and gulped the soup from the bowl. Phew! It started drizzling after we walked to the carpark. Proceeded home to coax Jeston to sleep.

Ate dinner of braised duck bot by James ytd with hotdogs and fishcakes cooked by him. Left home ard 5 plus while Jeston was still asleep. Went for armpit IPL @ Mustee @ Centrepoint. Caught the promo from Rachel's blog. Was happy that they charged $138 instead of $188 for Nov promo due to new PS branch launch. Saved 50 bucks.

Was bot into a room and served with tea after 20mins waiting time. The Malay young girl explained the details of the promo, the method and requirement to me. I can only shave 2 days before the ipl and can't apply body deodorant and perfume. No shaving after the session. 1 session every 2 months.

Told her I was rushing for time and she asked another Chinese girl to bring me to a room. Placed my bag in the locker and she started by covering my eyes with layers of cloth after I lied down on the bed. Asked me to lift my arms above my head and she applied a cooling gel on my armpits followed by wiping then used a tool to shave remaining hairs.

Then she used the machine tool to press against my skin. It felt like ant bite. Could sense the red light though I closed my eyes. Then she placed cooling pad on me and I waited for 5mins before she removed these. Supposed to last for 30mins but I took less than that.

After the session, she asked me to sign on the agreement. Unlimited sessions for one year which was actually 6 sessions in total cos only allowed to do in every 2 mths. I transferred to PS branch cos it was more convenient for me. So called PS branch to make appt. They were quite strict about canceling appts and if late fir more than 15mins, both would result in $10 penalty.

I rushed back ard 8pm and Jeston was playing with daddy. He already had his dinner so I helped him to shower. Daddy asked whether he wanna go ah zhor's house cos 五姨婆 wanna see him but he wanna watch super readers hence didn't follow. Made milk for him ard 10pm and read to him and practised the Chinese characters with him before putting him to bed.

Happy time with 阿姨 and 姨丈

We went to fetch Jeston at my MIL's place this morning to bring him for his weekly music class.  We reached there on time.  Only his classmate, J was present with her mummy.  This was the first time her mummy accompanied her as it had been her daddy all along.  I guess it was because she was very moody last Saturday after attending with daddy and she missed almost the entire class.  Fiona gave us some worksheets and markers for revision and the other students started joining us.

His other classmate had been having fever on and off.  His mum had bot him to SBCC AMK but the PD couldn't diagnosis the cause.  Glad that he had fully recovered.  Jeston was better at working on the worksheets today.  However, when it came to the keyboard, he started throwing tantrums again.  He anyhow pressed the keys and din wanna focus on the song "The Muffin Man" today.  Gotta coaxed him by telling him mummy would get the muffins for him after the class.  Fiona approached us to play the song but could tell she was a bit impatient as Jeston was pressing the same key repeatedly and din wanna listen to me.

I held on to his fingers and played with him.  He then continued to approach D, the classmate who had been sick.  He played very well and Fiona was complimenting him.  His mum told Fiona that she practised with him at home.  That triggered me as i did not practise with him at all at home.  Moreover, he's so playful.  He actually knew the notes and what he's learning but juz refused to play properly.  Gotta train him otherwise he may have to stop after Jan when he finished the red book.  Fiona passed a sheet today for us to fill in our kids' names to be printed on the certificate after they are done with the red book.  They practised the song for the yr end concert again using the desk bells today.

We then headed to Kopitiam for lunch.  As James was vegan today, he had his lunch before our class ended.  He bot fish slice mee sua for Jeston while i got the chicken curry set with rice for S$5.30 after kopitiam card discount.  Quite exp but quite tasty but not as spicy as what i would have wanted.  It was quite a big serving with 2 chicken bones and 3 chicken wings and some potatoes.  But the potatoes were not fully cooked.  After the lunch, we rushed to the carpark as we only have to pay S$1.20 for one hour but S$2.40 if we exceeded 1 hour.  Phew! We parked there for 55mins.

My sis had smsed me to go to my mum's place earlier as my parents were going for a dinner at around 8pm.  James din wanna go my mum's place so early so he dropped Jeston and me at Hougang MRT and we took the NEL to change at Outram.  Reached Tiong Bahru MRT and called my sis.  She was at Mt Alvernia with my brother-in-law.  Told her to take her time as she wanted to fetch us from Tiong Bahru.  Bot a piece of papaya for Jeston and kiwi for myself.  Got a bottle of chrysanthemum too as i was very thirsty.  Jeston was munching the papaya as we were going up the escalator.  Then when we reached, the half piece of papaya dropped at the corner of the escalator.

He looked so disappointed so i returned to the same stall and got him another pc at S$0.60.  My kiwi cost S$1.20.  Bot him to the table outside Bengawan Solo and passed him the papaya for him to eat.  He was enjoying it while biting part of my kiwi.  We took the bus to my mum's place as i din wanna shop around.  My mum was playing with him using the stickers.  He wanna pass stool a while after i applied ruyi oil on  him as he told me he had tummyache.  His stools were hard again and he passed several pieces.  But it's better than he din pass at all.

My sis and KS arrived shortly.  KS had bot Woody which cost HK$499 from HK for Jeston.  Jeston loved it very much.  Woody would speak when you pull the string behind him.  I went to surf the net while they played with him.  My sis gotta returned to work so KS bot him downstairs and they chased after the chickens.....so funnie.  When they returned to my mum's place, they watched toy story n my bro's PC.  I headed to the hawker to get fish slice soup and 2 packets of white rice for dinner.  The stall was recommended by my dad which was near the newspaper vendor stall.  It was quite tasty.

My mum had fried the salmon pieces and i tabaoed the rice for Jeston.  I gotta dragged Jeston out for dinner and he kept entering my bro's room to remind KS not to off the PC.... My mum fed him while i had my dinner.  He almost dozed off when he was about to finish his dinner.  I bot him to my bro's room and had wanted to put him on my bro's bed to sleep.  But the moment he entered the room and saw the paused "Super readers" KS had searched for him in youtube, he forgot all about his sleep.  My sis returned from her work place at 7 plus.  She also joined Jeston to catch the show.  Jeston prevented them from leaving the room and pestered them to watch with him.

He was sooooo engrossed in the show till he peed on the floor.  I carried him to the bathroom and showered him.  He appeared stunned as he was embarrassed that he peed in my bro's room.  KS took a cloth and cleaned the pee for him.  After the shower, James arrived and my sis sent my parents for the dinner.  Jeston wanted to go my sis place cos he hadn't had enuff fun time with my sis and KS.  He was so close with them till he ignored me when i tried to bade him goodbye.  Forgot all about mummy.

As it was still early, James went to NTUC to get sum stuff while Jeston continued to watch Super readers using daddy's iphone in the car.  After we fetched my MIL and SIL, he wanna carry on watching.  I switched off the iphone and lied to him that it had ran out of battery.  He then lied down and fell asleep.

Company lunch

Today was Jeston's field trip to Punggol Park.  He din wanna return home last night but i insisted he do so as I need to stick the insect repellent sticker and applied insect repellent lotion for him.  Placed his hat inside his school bag too.  We then sent him to school where Ms Maisy opened the door for us.  I promised to let him stay at Ah ma's house tonight.  Ate half of the bun with custard i bot on wednesday for breakfast.

We headed to Oosters for lunch around 12 plus.  It was reserved by my new colleague, Y who had been to the place before.  We ordered pork knuckle, steak, cod fish, mussels, salad, roasted pumpkin soup and beer.  The roasted pumpkin soup was disappointing as it tasted quite sweet and seemed artificial.  We shared the mussels in white wine which was quite tasty.  Jo and i ordered the fruit beers, Peach and Raspberry.  Raspberry tasted nicer and both contained 4% alcohol.  Also tried other beer ordered by my other colleagues. S and H ordered juices instead.

The pork knuckle was served with several potato malls.  It appeared quite a big serving cos of the big bone.  Jo cut the pork knuckle for me and we shared the pork.  Her cod fish with hoe garden was nice and served with broccoli and steamed potato.  S's steak looked a but bloody and she also ordered a banana dessert which was quite yummy....tasted like egg tart with strawberries and bananas.  I ate the strawberries as S said she dun take these.  I couldn't finish the potato balls.  Anyway, the pork knuckle was also a disappointment as the meat was dry and a bit tough and the skin not as crispy.  The entire lunch cost about S$510 for 10 pax.  It was to welcome our 2 new colleagues as well as to celebrate the completion of the quarterly closing done.

After the lunch, we headed back to office.  I was rushing another deliverable for the client who wanted it by today.  Made myself a cup of white town kopi otherwise i guess i may doze off after the heavy meal.  I managed to rush out the stuff by around 6 plus.  Took the mrt to Toa Payoh to meet James and my MIL for dinner.  James had got the queue no and they were having dinner at one of the coffeeshop as Jeston got no. 9 to see 许医师 at room 4.  He hadn't seen him since early Sep before we left for Perth.  We needed to consult him again as his cough returned and he's very heaty as his stools were hard.

My MIL had made a chinese tea to help him to urinate otherwise it could be worse as his urine was very yellowish and he seldom urinate.  I shared fish slice bee hoon with my MIL as i had a heavy lunch.  James had fish slice soup with rice.  Jeston was playing with his leapfrog scribble and write and then carried on to watch ipad while we enjoyed our dinner.  James headed for NTUC to help my MIL get some stuff while we returned to Chung Hwa Hospital.  It was only at no. 5.  We waited for a while and James joined us.  It was finally his turn.  许医师 prescribed medicine for his sensitive nose and his constipation.  He told us he's only doing relieve teaching as he's a retired chinese teacher.

We then sent my MIL back home.  Jeston followed her as i had promised him to stay for the night.  James and i then headed to hougang for tau suan and he bot the black glutinous rice.

Mid-week

Hadn't let Jeston try the Gain IQ Kids sample so I didn't get the 1.8kg of milk on offer at $51.85 @ Guardian @ Changi last Sun. Really regretted cos it was sold out in many places and today was the last day of offer. I called up International Plaza and bad news too. Rang up Guardian at Raffles MRT and they left 2 tins. Reserved the 2 tins under my name.

I jio my coll, Jo to Raffles MRt. We went for lunch at Lau Pa Sat and strolled to Raffles MRT after that. Wow.... The 2 tins of milk powder were very heavy and the cashier had packed both tins in 1 plastic bag. I forgot to bring my passion card to earn points. So wasted.

We then went to buy the popular cheesed bread in the former OUB centre basement. It was quite a long queue. I bot 3 cheese bread, 1 custard bum and I milky bun. Settled Jeston's breakfast for tomorrow. We then strolled our way back to office. Jo wanna helped me carry but I rejected cos the tins were quite heavy.

I bot 1 tin home and only managed to get a seat at Potong Pasir MRT. The tin was quite heavy. I tugged the tin and went to the kopitiam for my carrot cake dinner. I went carried the tin and walked to Jestpn's school. I stayed inside the classroom with him for a while and told him I would get the lollipop and pocky for him.

He agreed to let me go and attended the entire class. James was waiting for me at the carpark. He drove me to hougang to get the pocky and lollipop. My ex-coll, HL called meto discuss about an accounting entry I checked with her earlier. She guided me on the right treatment.

I then returned to Berries with James to wait for Jeston. Waved the lollipop to him. He was excited to see both of us outside the classroom after his class. Today, he learnt 汽车 and 飞机. He wun be having classes next wed. Ordered the materials for lessons he din attend as he commenced from end may this year.

The orange flashcard cost 20 cents each and the mini orange booklet cost 70 cents each and I need to pay additional for the GST. The recept told me she would help to check for the stock and let me know again. For the missed class next week due to Hari Raya Haji, there would not be any makeup class.

They gave us the materials to teach him at home. Another of Jeston's classmates who stayed at The Quartz would be attending Sunday classes next year as his elder daughter having ballet on Wednesday evenings. Think most of the other students remained status quo.

We then sent Jeston home and he insisted on watching Leapfrog and told me "mummy, once only". Mummy soft hearted so gave way and watched with him. After the show, I switched off the Tv. He was so unhappy about it and started crying. Threw the milk that daddy made for him and James called up my MIL to speak to Jeston.

He kept pleading to go ah ma's house at 10 plus. Told James we can't always give in to his demands. James managed to coax him to drink the milk and finally I coaxed him to sleep.

Monday blues....

James had class tonight.  I ordered few items from Lamkins online yesterday and opted to pay by cash.  As i'm a repeating customer, i had the sales person's mobile no.  I smsed him on details of the delivery this morning at 9.26am.  He replied shortly and told me delivery would be after 7pm.  I asked whether it could be after 8pm but there was no reply.  Hence, after work, i rushed to my MIL's place.

Blur mummy took the bus to my MIL's place and alighted at their bus-stop.  Wanted to cross over to a nearby coffeeshop to tabao my dinner.  Wanted to get it from the interchange coffeeshop but as the queue was very long at the bus lane, i assumed the bus would arrive soon hence dropped the idea.  I was right and i din wanna wait for another bus.  Anyway, when i crossed over to the other end, i lost my way again.  Guess i'm really bery bad at my directions.

Was chatting over the fone and din concentrate on where i was heading.  Imagined i walked about 2 bus-stops to another coffeeshop near Olive Tree clinic to get my dinner.  Bot economical rice with fish cutlet for S$3.90.  So exp summore.  The fish cutlet was also quite salty.  I then figured out the way back to my MIL's estate and took one hour from the time i alighted and teh time i finally reached her place.  My MIL and SIL were laughing away when i shared with them.....i think i can't see well in the dark.  A short distance to obtain my dinner became a nightmare as i was wearing heels.

I smsed the guy again and he asked me whether delivery could be possible the next morning or mid afternoon.  Was so pissed and told him i rushed back to expect the delivery though i had work to be done in the office.  When i asked him whether delivery was possible after 8pm, he din reply till evening.  After my complaint, he requested his delivery guy to send me the items at about 9pm.  I'm quite disappointed in their service especially when i was quite impressed by their service initially as they were quite prompt in delivery.  Neway, i got the items at last.

Ordered Laapfrog and Little Einstein DVDs and Leapfrog Scribble and Write for Jeston.  The latter was recommended by H, J's mum from Jeston's music class previously.  It's a very good tool for him to learn how to write alphabets.  He was so excited about the new toy and asked me to unwrap it for him and started playing with it.  Was exploring the new toy with him.

Daddy came to fetch us after his class but Jeston din wanna return home as usual.  So i gotta coax him back home using the new toy and the 2 DVDs.

Changi Beach

Hasn't been posting due to the difficulty in uploading fotos in blog as my fotos capacity had reached its limit. Wanna buy more storage space in picasa but James already purchased additional storage in flickr so decided to use that instead.

But the trouble with flickr is I gotta upload the fotos in iPhoto and use iPhoto to upload the fotos into flickr. As I'm afraid that I may lose the fotos, I downloaded the full version hence it is very slow. Worst, when I link the fotos from flickr to the blog, some of the links dun work. And I gotta painstakingly copied the html for every foto and pasted them one by one on the html page of the blog and adjust by clicking under Compose as i'm not a IT trained in html language.

Neway, will keep on writing while I try to find ways to improve on the uploading of the fotos. Brain memory reserved for work usage hence can't afford to remember all the nitty gritty details everyday.

This morning, James and I woke up late as we slept late last night. He was watching TV while I was uploading and trying to figure out how to add the pictures from flickr as it wasn't as simple as pasting the URL as these didn't work. We left our place at 10 plus and met our neighbour who were almost done with their toilet renovation.

The hubby was complaining to us the terribly poor service they got from the contractors. They couldn't even position the metal hangers properly and dug holes on their floor. They were so mad about it and complained to hdb. The hdb officer juz provided lip service and the contractor reverted to their irresponsible way of handling the toilets.

They renovated the MBR toilet and followed by the the one in the living room. As the couple didn't have lotsa leave, they told the contractors to complete them by 3 weeks instead of a mth. They had nightmare as the contractors committed lotsa mistakes.

After hearing all the complaints, we were quite worried as our turn would come next year. Think there's a very long waiting list as I heard my 2 other neighbours had wrote in to complain about the toilets too. Gotta pray hard to get a gd contractor.

Oopz, already 11am by the time we left the carpark. We then headed to my MIL's place to fetch them. My MIL was telling us Jeston had been mumbling and asking to go East Coast Park since early morning. James drove us to Changi Village for lunch.

My MIL bot Jeston and her own food as she was a vegan today. She fed Jeston while we ate our lunch. We shared a plate of carrot cake. I had chicken cutlet mee, James had mee pok while my SIL had wanton mee. James had queued for it at the famous stall.

After the lunch, I bot a pc of papaya for Jeston. Kept in my bag for him to consume later till it juz slipped my mind. Gotta dispose it in the late evening. We strolled around Changi Beach after lunch. Wanted to get a safety cap for Jeston. Saw one and let him tried. It cost $27 but it was a bit heavy on him so gave up.

We then passed by a bakery and bot red bean buns for Jeston. My MIL suggested going to somewhere nearby as Jeston was going to sleep soon so we headed to Changi Beach. Applied suntan lotion for kids on him. It was blazing hot at noon.

Took the pail and scooped finer sand for Jeston as the sand around the area he was seated was filled with grass. My MIL had bot a styrofoam cover for him to sit and a blue plastic mat from 1 of the shops at Changi Village. Very useful indeed.

My SIL went roller blading and my MIL was helping her as she still couldn't blade very well. I played with Jeston for a while and felt tired. There was a couple who placed the mat on the sand and bot along 2 chairs to relax. Their 2 sons were at the beach with 2 stools playing with the sand.

I lied down for a little while on the mat as I was tired. We then told Jeston to pack up and my MIL helped him to grab a quick shower at the open shower area for kids. Wanted to shampoo him but he found the water too cold. James then drove them to my MIL's place. Jeston wanna follow my MIL hence James and I returned home for shower.

We went to tabao vegetarian mee goreng, hor fun and carrot cake for dinner and headed to my MIL's place. Juz opened the mee goreng, James' 7th uncle and aunt dropped by to ask my FIL to sign some documents. James offered her carrot cake as she was heading home for dinner.

Her daughter-in-law's baby boy is due to be delivered next Jan and she told us she had been attending classes and already engaged a confinement lady for $2,500. They left after a short while and we bot Jeston back home.

Montessori Playroom Yearend Concert

This morning, dressed Jeston in his black tee with a monkey picture for his performance "Crazy Monkeys in the House".  Prepared bread with butter as well as Kuei Lapis for him as his performance commenced from 10.30am.  Rang Vera at 8.40am to wake her up and picked her up at 9am and then proceeded to pick up my MIL.  Then we headed to Tampines MRT to pick up my mum.

She had already reached Tampines MRT @ 9.30am so i went to the MRT control to meet her.  We were early at Tampines library and James wanted to look for the loo so he managed to find out the back door.  He rang me and informed me.  I asked my mum, MIL and Vera to proceed to the back door.  Informed a lady with her kid in her arms and her parents to use the back door too rather than waiting for the main door to open at 10am.  I pressed the bell and a librarian kindly opened the door for us.  We then took the lift to the 3rd floor where the concert was to be held.

We saw the principal and teachers still tied up with the coordination.  We juz went around looking at the photos pasted on the wall which we wanted to order with a form given to us in the concert invitation package.  One foto cost $1.50 and $1 for orders of 10 and above for 4R.  1 5R foto cost $2.50.  Decided to order about 23 prints of 4R.  Din order those with Jeston which were blur as these fotos were quite expensive.

The crowd gradually strolled in.  Met Y and her family.  Her baby boy was here too.  Passed her the CD which i burnt for her with fotos of the Duck & Hippo tour and the RBW cards for her baby boy which I used to teach Jeston when he was an infant.  Then i went around taking fotos for Jeston and his classmates.  I met Ber, my ex-coll who recommended this school to me.  Told her where the Pre-Nursery fotos were.

Then it was time for Jeston to enter the backstage.  He was clinging on to my hand and wanted me to join him in the backstage.  Ms W took over at the entrance of the backstage.  He then let go of me.  Tink he's quite fearful of her.  I joined the rest in the theatrette.  This year graduation concert was on "All About Tails".  Jeston was involved in 3 items, Crazy Monkeys in the House, 小青蛙本领大 and the Finale - The Animals Went in Two by Two.

We were anxiously waiting for his appearance.  It began with a welcome speech by the Principal, followed by the Graduation and Awards Ceremony.  Jeston din manage to get the best attendance award for 2010 as he had been sick a few times.  Finally we saw our darling appeared.  TheIt was led by Ms M, a dance by the Pre-Nursery and Nursery in the a.m. session.  Jeston did not join in the rest and jumped.  He seemed to be in his own world and dancing the Mickey Mouse dance.  We were laughing away in the audience seats.

After that, he followed his seniors when he finally drew his attention back to the theme.  Ber's daughter, S was also performing in this show.  Jeston was dressed in black tee and she was dressed in blue tee.  She came with her hubby and elder daughter who used to be Montessori student too.  Jeston was looking for us but as the seats were arranged with the K2 parents in the first row, followed by K1, then Nursery and Pre-Nursery's invitees were seated at the back rows.  Ber and her family were seated in front of us.

After this item, we were anxiously waiting for the little frogs.  Had wanted to enrol Jeston in the Talent Showcase.  Luckily, i din as the students were all playing either keyboards or violins.  The youngest was a Nursery student who played "Long Long Ago" on the keyboard.  If Jeston had focused and trained harder in his music lessons, he would be able to perform.  Nevertheless, i dun wanna exert pressure on him.

Daddy had been recording the performance using the digital camera.  Next, we finally saw the little frogs.  He was dressed in a frog like suit with a white cap sewn with 2 ears.  So cute.  Blur mummy din take foto of that.  Gotta wait for the fotos from the school.  He was jumping with the other students.  Finally, the last item was the finale.  The k2 girl, T who held Jeson's hands was so kan cheong and juz appeared and dragged him to the back of the stage and he din have the chance to move in front of the stage and bowed like what the other pairs of students did.

After the show, daddy came to pick him up at the backstage as he and my MIL were vegans today and they couldn't makan the buffet lunch.  Think the buffet was from Eatz Catering which was so-so only.  Had wanted to wait for Jeston but James told us to go ahead for the lunch first so by the time we exited the theatrette, all the seats were "reserved" with bags and elderly people.  Managed to put Jeston's bag on 1 side of the bench as the other side was occupied by an old lady.

We then proceeded to queue for the food.  There were fried rice, bee hoon, nuggets, broccoli with cauliflower, siew mai, pork and samosa.  Din consume the dessert which was jelly as it was too cold for me.  After taking the food, the bench which i placed the bag was occupied by the old lady's granddaughter who was in the performance.  My mother din have a place to sit.  The guy who sat on the sofa next to us kindly gave the seat to my mum.  Asked my MIL to sit on the bench but she said she was alright to stand as she was having dessert.

The girl's mum juz ignored our presence though i hinted my bags were there and she looked quite unfriendly.  After Jeston came out with daddy, my MIL took out the macaroni she had cooked for him and fed him by sitting on the little space on the bench.  Daddy went to get his vegetarian lunch for himself & my MIL.  I continued to eat my lunch and chatted with Vera.  Managed to catch up a little with Y who was beside me.  She was still deciding whether to enroll her daughter, S for the Dec holiday programme.  Both of us felt the school fees were steep but she told me this was one of the better schools in Hougang and she needed to work late so no time to teach her daughter.

Bobian, gotta work harder to earn his income.....tat's Y James was saying one is sufficient due to the financial and physical burden.....We met Ms M who told me Jeston was crying in the backstage as he wanted mummy.  They managed to comfort him before the performance.  James and my MIL had proceeded to the car as my MIL was famished.  James had his lunch while he tabaoed for her.  We joined them later at the carpark.  We sent my mum to the mrt and Vera home.  James dropped Jeston and me at home and sent my MIL to buy some stuff.

I gave him a shower and coaxed him for his nap.  We then had our dinner at my MIL's house.  What a tiring day.

On the way to the mrt, I met Y and her hubby at the coffeeshop. Y was a close friend I gotta know when I studied acca. Her daughter, S is in K1 and in the same school as Jeston. Today was the first time I met his infant son cos hasn't had time to visit him since he was born about 3+ mths ago.

He was very adorable and resembled mummy but Y said I'm the first 1 to make that remark. Guess most people commented he resembled daddy. Had a quick chat with her. She asked me whether Jeston going for the holiday programme. Told her I decided to sign him for the 3 weeks programme which costs $450 excluding transport. Asked James to pick him up after school as the 2-way transport costs $75 for 3 weeks.

Y told me she's still contemplating whether to sign S for the programme as it's quite exp. I find it very exp too but wanted to keep him occupied for some activities since I can't take too long leave to accompany him. Wanna go Genting with him and James' 四姨 's family but they going on 12th Nov weekend and my quarterly ends only on 15th Nov so can't make it.

Reached office and had cheer kway which Jo had bot for me from Tiong Bahru. Ate 6 pieces and was quite full. A bit oily but I simply love these.....haha.....close one eye on the oil surrounding them.

Had lunch with my colls, J, C and ex-coll, CT today at Mei Xiang Lou. It was suggested by Jo as she find the $5 set lunch which includes tea quite value for money. C, CT and I had oyster mee sua and Jo had another type of noodles. We also ordered braised meat with ko song buns. C and I had one each and CT had two as Jo din wanna consume it.

C and CT ordered 1 bowl of tang yuan each. There were 2 tang yuan with peanuts filling and in peanut soup in each serving. CT shared half with me. Told Jo I was still full after the heavy breakfast. It was Jo's treat. She told us to treat her something more exp next time and I told her she betta keep her promise cos she alwis forgot.

My coll, S gave A and me popcorns from Cathay in the late afternoon. She said it wasn't enuff to share among all so she packed these in 2 white envelopes for us. It was mixture of salted and sweet popcorns.....yum yum..... Had a few cos inconvenient to eat it openly so munched these on my way to mrt.

Met my secondary school classmates, A and Q for dinner. It was organized by Q. Hasn't met them for ages since they came over to see me and Jeston few years back. I bot a minnie sweater and Mickey & Minnie jumper for Q's daughter. We had dinner at manhattan at PS. I was about 10mins late but A was much later cos delayed by work.

I was catching up with Q till A arrived and we ordered our food. They had baked fish with supreme catch while I ordered fish and chips and a latte. We were catching up on the good old days and updates about our ex-classmates. We also shared our experiences being mummies. A was saying her hubby alwis flying around hence she wasn't ready for kids yet. Anyway, we were sharing with her that after being promoted to mummies, whenever we buy things, we would think of our kids first.

Q's daughter is being taken care by her MIL and they got her a maid to help out. They would bring their daughter back during the weekend. She had 18 hours of labour pain and was induced as her baby gal weighed 3.51kg. She gave birth at MAH. Told her I had 8 hours of labour time so could imagine her endurance. Kudos to her.

Chatted till around 10pm and we headed home. A went to tabao burger for her hubby who juz knocked off while Q and I took the NEL train tgt. She stayed at Punggol. Was sharing with her my past experience with Jeston. Strongly encouraged her to breastfeed as she said it was vey tiring. Told her to try for at least 6 mths as it really helps to build up her baby's immune system. Her baby is on half BM and half Nan now. She also uses medela pump.

It was drizzling when I reached home. Got a japanese cheese bread for Jeston's snack tmr at the bakery. Put down my stuff and picked up my darling at the shelter while daddy went to park his car. Would be bringing him to school by mrt tmr as daddy needs to send my MIL for his routine checkup at the hospital.

Read Si Yah Ling's phonics book 3 and revised berries cards with him and his Mickey. After he slept, I ran through the circular given by his school. Find that his school is getting more commercialized. They actually charges $1.50 each for the 4R foto for his full dress rehearsal and $1 each for orders of 10 prints and above and $2.50 for 5R.

Thot the school would provide transport to Tampines this Thurs for their year end concert for the students but nope, we gotta send Jeston there on our own. Those without cars gotta use public transport. Find that Jeston learnt quite a fair bit from attending this school otherwise would have opted for others as the school fees are quite exp and no subsidies given as it's not a childcare for working mothers.

Time for bed.....
