2nd swimming lesson

Woke up at 9 plus today after having diarrhea at 4 plus in the morning. This maybe due to the Chinese medicine which I brewed last night. Drank the entire bowl after it turned cold.

I brought Jeston to MYC but had tummy ache while in the Mrt. Rushed to the school & settled Jeston before heading for the washroom. Teacher Yan was very nice and always wait for the late comers before she commence the class.

We sang the sunshine song and class began. Was glad that my efforts took off as Jeston could play his 2 simple pieces well. He could identify his notes friends' locations.

After the class, we brought Jeston for haircut. I also cut my fringe. $7 for his & $4 for mine. We went to my MIL's place for Jeston to take his lunch thereafter. It was pouring cats and dogs. I asked him to practise his music homework using the keyboard but he was very reluctant.

Whatsapped my sis to find out the weather at Jurong. She told me it was sunny. Phew! Otherwise we may need to postpone his swimming. Lois called to check with me as her daughter is learning to swim together with Jeston.

We sent a box of snowskin mooncakes which we made together with Jeston last evening to Jeston's paternal great granny. We also headed home to pick up DIY mooncakes for my mum.

Oopz! Was late for 5 mins for the swimming class. Delayed partly due to practicing the music homework. The swimming instructor, uncle Yeo started the session after we arrived. Lois & family had already reached.

Lois & I sat on the bench chatting. Her hubby, Alex returned with chicken wings & 4 cups of hot beverages. We strolled to peep at the 2 kids. Lois' MIL assisted Ariel to pee. 3 if us enjoyed the chicken wings while waiting for Jeston & Ariel.

The lesson ended at 4pm. Uncle Yeo extended the session. We then helped the kids to shower. Ariel had a minor fall when she tried to climb a mini pool. Luckily she only had mild redness.

We then passed the lesson money to uncle Yeo & headed to my mum's place. Alex & Lois decided to let Ariel try out for a month. We loathe the distance but Uncle Yeo managed to train my ex-neighbour's son (5 year old) to swim within 2 months, I wanted to give it a try. He has a very tight schedule hence only available at Jurong.

Jeston had early dinner around 6pm. My dad brought him to 7-eleven to get ice-cream. He then spent the remaining time playing my SIL's PC game. We reached home around 9ish.

Realized there was a mid autumn celebration held at the open field opposite Buangkok MRT tonight by the Buddhist temple. We strolled there but was too late as It ended at 9.30pm. We returned home to get the Ben 10 lantern and I brought Jeston to the park opposite our block to play.

Several kids were holding lanterns and playing with candles there. We spent about half an hour there and headed home.

Edufarm Abacus

Jeston resumed his class after 2 weeks break - 1 Sat due to Presidential election held on 27 Aug 2011 and the following Sat was term break. He enjoys attending abacus.

He stayed at ah ma's house so we fetched him around 1 plus for his class. I then went for my monthly facial which lasted an hour. Daddy fetched him and came to pick me up after that.

I read from http://sengkangbabies.blogspot.com that there's an mid autumn festival event held at Marina Bay City Gallery. Wanted to bring Jeston there. But he had a great time playing with daddy so refused to go.

In the end, I had instant noodles for dinner as I was hungry and needed a quick fix. Daddy cooked salmon & egg for dinner. He added fresh milk in the egg. Jeston love the eggs.

We then started DIY snowskin mooncakes. Got all e stuff from Phoon Huat. It's rather easy to make as we use the premixed flour & shortening. Added pandan flavor & green coloring. Jeston helped me with the dough and smoothening the dough. The paste was ready made from Phoon Huat.

Jeston enjoyed the process very much. Daddy helped to measure the weight of each dough & the paste for the dough. Though we spent few hours on it, we were satisfied with the results.

The Magic Paintbrush

Worried that Jeston stay glued to the TV all day long, I signed him up for Act 3 International Sep 2011 workshop "The Magic Paintbrush" from 6 to 9 Sep from 3pm to 5.30pm.

Daddy was very against it mainly due to the location. I managed to persuade James to send us there. Was so relieved that Jeston enjoyed himself. There was a break from 4.15pm to 4.30pm daily.

Day 1 [Tues]:
On day 1, before the break, I took the train to Toa Payoh hoping to get a queue no to see the Chinese Physician in the evening but was soooo disappointed as he was on leave. Wasted trip.

I bot a piece of cheese cake for him on the way back to Cairnhill Arts Centre. He consumed half of cha shao bread instead and half a packet of milk. He like his Teacher, Elyn very much as he kept looking for her.

Waited for him till class ended. We then strolled to Newton MRT and met daddy at AMK station. Headed to my MIL's place for dinner.

Day 2 [Wed]:
Daddy sent Jeston to the class. We then strolled to Newton Hawker with intention to get cha shao pao for our lil' darling but made a failed attempt. We then headed to Newton Mrt and got a honey chicken bun from 7-eleven at the Mrt station.

We took Mrt to Orchard and proceeded to Paragon where James wanted to terminate the micro sim card line. He was advised he only had to call the hotline for termination.

We waited for Jeston after his class was dismissed and headed to Hougang for dinner before we sent him for his Chinese class.

Day 3 [Thurs]:
Same routine as day 2. We took the train and met daddy at Novena Mrt. We then headed to my MIL's place for dinner.

Day 4 [Today]:
We sent Jeston to class after lunch at ABC market. We then headed to Toa Payoh to pick up queue no. Returned prior to Jeston's break. He had half a strawberry bread and Kraft Tiger biscuits before returning to class.

I showed my MIL the fotos I posted in fb while waiting for Jeston's class dismissal. After the class, he finished the remaining half of the strawberry bread. He was told to report at the theater by 6.10pm. My SIL joined us and we waited till 6.30pm to enter the theatre.

The performance by the kids from 3 to 6 years old was very entertaining. We were amused by the kiddies reactions. Jeston was dressed in jeans and white top similar to several other participants. We could sense that he enjoy the performance very much.

We were seated in the first row and I took video of the entire play using my iPhone. After the show, he was given a certificate but as his name was stated wrongly, I returned to Elyn and was advised they would mail the revised copy to us. Each kid was also given a lollipop.

We tool some snaps and left the theatre and rushed to Chung Hwa. When I showed the queue no to the counter, I was told that 许医师 was no longer available. I was advised to get his signature and returned to the counter.

Phew! Told him I came from far away and he kindly signed the queue docket for me. We then had dinner at one of the coffee shops. Jeston was soooo exhausted that he dozed off before his fish slice soup was served.

I quickly finished my dinner of economic bee hoon and tried to wake him up. He finally opened his eyes after daddy told him he would be getting the chrysanthemum tea for him. Poor chap!

We waited till 9 plus and Jeston was the last patient. 许医师 prescribed medicine for his tummy and perspiration. I bot some piglet biscuits for his grandchildren but he rejected these as he mentioned he do not accept gifts.

Jeston wanna stay at ah ma's house again so we told him it's the last stay before school reopens next Mon.

Lunch @ ABC market

Jeston stayed at ah ma's house last night again. He told us he would stay at our place and ah ma's place on alternative days...mummy dumbfounded.

Arranged with freelance photographer, Suki at 11am at Botanical Garden Jacob Ballas Children's Garden to take fotos. It's $159 for 1.5 hrs. We only left my MIL's place at around 10.40am as Jeston had tummy upset.

Then faced the traffic congestion and daddy rerouted via Lornie Road. It was our 1st attempt to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden hence we were unfamiliar with the location.

Gosh....we were late by half an hour. Though wasted half an hour, Suki was very friendly. We started the fotoshoot but Jeston required some time to warm up. Initially he was quite skeptical but managed to warm up after we spent some time in the maze.

After the foto shoot, we gave Suki a lift to Newton MRT. We proceeded to ABC market for lunch. Bought fish porridge for Jeston who had mild diarrhea. He did not consume much. James, my MIL and I had black carrot cake, claypot rice, lotus roots soup and bak kut teh. We love the claypot rice there. But the bak kut teh was filled with lotsa MSG.
