Ah San's last day

Finally completed all my closing for yearend as promised to my MD by Friday. Went to 7-eleven to buy the toto after work. Luckily sales closed at 9pm as draw was held @ Resort World Sentosa @ 9.30pm. Was jokingly telling the senior finance director he wun see me on mon cos I'm gng to strike on Fri. The winnings was S$5.8m.

Neway, I always dun have luck for all these. Hvnt checked my tickets yet but the 6 winners location din include the place I bot. So no hope already. There will be a bigger draw of S$10m on 18 Feb 2011. Gotta pin my hopes again.

I managed to get Jeston's CNY clothes after work with my coll, ah san on Thursday. She volunteered to shop with me at Chinatown. Total damages of $34 on 1 chinese costume and 2 tees. Also bot seaweed snacks @ 5 for $20. We were quite annoyed with the guy selling the seaweeds as he stood quite close to us when he spoke to us.

Ah san heading home for dinner so I went Compass Point to tabao. Halted at kiddy palace. Got a red striped shirt with tie for Jeston. Borrowed the member's card from a uncle queuing in front of me. He realized his card has expired and renewed and lent it to me. So nice of him. Paid $35.90 after discount. Tabaoed 酸辣板面 and took the bus to my MIL's place.

Back to Fri, after getting the toto, my colls, AC, ah san & me headed to party world at Chinatown to k歌. We had a quick dinner at 1 of the small restaurant where I had hokkien mee and 2 of them consumed hor fun. We then strolled to Party World to commence our singing session.

Ah San was very good. She's able to sing Cantonese songs though she can't speak. She told us she memorized the songs she like. She also sang hokkien song 爱拼才会嬴 . Impressed. She often goes singing with friends. AC is very good singer too. Can sing both male and female singers' songs as well. We juz ended the song and jumped to next quickly and din finish all the songs ultimately. We paid about $28 each for 3 hours room usage with 6 drinks & 2 mini bowls of tibits. Quite exp but other venues which we tried to enquire all fully booked.

Ah San and I took the Mrt home together. AC went to meet her hubby and thereafter to chill out with friends.

Alyssa's birthday

Still very tired after the long hours on Fri. Woke up at ard 11am. Really can't stay late nights cos old already. Helped my lil' darling to bathe and we headed to Hougang to tabao lunch and my MIL's place for Jeston's lunch.

We then went Tampines mall toy r us to get Alyssa's birthday present. Daddy couldn't get parking lot so Jeston tagged along with me to choose the gift. His sharp eyes spotted the wheel-like toy that daddy's cousin, Baxton had been playing.

Jeston insisted that I get it for him. We got a princess trolley for Alyssa cos she love princess stuff. Glad that toy r us provided free gift wrapping. After that, shopaholic mummy spotted a Japanese costume for boys but too bad, no bigger size for Jeston otherwise I will spurge on him again.

We then proceeded to Alyssa's 3rd birthday party @ Pasir Ris chalet. We were punctual hence not v crowded yet. Alyssa was in a nice barbie dress. She was happy to see Jeston. We passed her the gift. Her mummy, Noelle asked us to help ourselves to the goodies corner which she has set up.

Jeston got a lollipop with chewing gum. After he reached the chewing gum, mummy took over. Luckily he realized it was different from the normal lollipop. Thennthe kids started their bubble game. Noelle and her hubby had bot big bottle of bubbles for the kids to play.

As it got more crowded, Noelle started playing games with the kids. She started with a mini basketball game where the kids gotta pull the tab for the tiny ball to drop on the basket. Jeston managed to get the ball landed and got himself a gift. He was so anxious to open it. It was a Mickey white board.

They followed by the fishing game but Jeston had no luck. Think the game worked better for older kids as they gotta lower the fishing rod into the pail of water with fishes.

Then the next game was passing around the present where the kids formed a circle. Each time the music stopped playing, the kid will need to unwrap the wrapper. The kid who unwrapped the last wrapper got the prize.

The final game was a heart shaped princess gift box where all the kids will pull the string attached and lotsa snacks, stickers, etc would drop. Jeston collected few items.

Alyssa had a fall before she blew the candles. Poor gal. Mummy was busy coaxing her. When Noelle was cutting the cake, Jeston asked to eat the alphabet H. It's made of sugaring. I asked him to help to distribute the cakes and he did. Noelle told me to help myself with the alphabet.

It was fun for Jeston. Another of their classmate, Matiya was here too. She's same age as Jeston but born in Dec. She's in N1 this year cos her parents dun wanna pressure her.

I drank beer and red wine given by the host. We bade farewell and left for home. Jeston fell asleep in the car and I gotta carried him back home while daddy went to park the car. Who knows e moment I placed him on the bed, he woke up. Gave him a quick shower and he had his milk.

As he had serving of noodles, fishball and a big slice of cake, we decided to offer him the milk instead of rice for dinner.

Seimpi day

Woke up at 9 plus though I slept at 4am. Maybe too stressed liao. Consumed my daily supplements with green barley + flora guard beverage. They helps as I seldom fall sick after taking these.

It's different for Jeston. He takes goat milk's powder, omega & vit c Pastilles every morning and sambucol in the daytime but still fell sick. He can't take very heaty stuff cos cough relapse again easily when he consumes too much chocolate and biscuits.

Went to my MIL's place to pick Jeston. He stayed at ah ma's place last nite cos poor mummy worked till 3am this morning. Was a tad late as the class has started. Hope Jeston can stay focused on the keyboard soon cos his eyes usually gets distracted by other buttons on e keyboard instead.

We headed to kopitiam for lunch. Jeston had his usual fish slice mian xian & I ate my favorite curry chicken. We then returned home for nap. Gosh, woke up at 6ish. All 3 of us were sound asleep. Mum called and asked whether we gng her place.

We made our way to Jeston's 外婆 's house. Jeston ate his rice with salmon. Mummy had rice with vege, fried fish & fish sticks and roasted meat. The lil' fellow kept chasing me to finish my dinner so that I can play with him.

I gave him a quick shower and we went to pick my MIL & SIL. Jeston was so sticky to ah ma. Clung onto her and din wanna go home. I gotta forced him into my arms and carried him back. Then coaxed and distracted him by using toys. He calmed down after a while.

TGIF...deadline

Worked OT last night to rush the year end closing. Was glad my coll, ah san who's leaving soon stayed behind with me. I would not have rushed like mad if not for adhoc work that cropped up in between.

As usual, my bosses just dumped everything to me and expected me to finish the deadline. Am the only poor soul in the entire office who require to stay till wee hours & missing my lil' darling.

He din cum home last night cos mummy did OT. Need to do OT today again. I hear friends doing OT with team members around. At least dun feel so demotivated. Sigh, not for me. Only have music to cheer me up when I moonlight.

Watched Focus Point last night after I reached home. Saw the poor victims in Queensland and Brazil affected by the heavy flood. So many homes destroyed and estimated 1,000 people dead in Brazil. Feel that Singaporeans are so lucky that many people take things for granted. Told myself though I need to work very hard but at least I have a roof over my head.

Just reached home from work. It's oredi 3 plus am in e morning. Tried my best to finish up the work but am too exhausted fighting battle alone in the office. Dun understand y so gor mia.

Crazy Wednesday

Jeston still hvg very bad cough. Bot him to Chung Hwa again last nite to see 许医师 . Went to get the q no in e morning den rushed to work. Luckily no CC otherwise gonna miss e appt. As James has class ytd, he sent my MIL and Jeston to Chung Hwa.

I was late and they had been there for a while. Already way past the no. I got. Phew! Managed to be 5th patient. We headed for dinner @ e nearby kopitiam. Shared fish soup with rice with my lil' darling. He had a big bun beforehand so din serve him too much rice.

Googled ard for vegetarian food cos ytd my MIL makan 素 . Found Fork & Spoon foodcourt but vegetarian stall closed already. She just had dessert. Last seen 许医师 in Dec. Last night he prescribed medicine for Jeston's cough and occasional stomachache. Strongly recommended to drink warm water as habit for Jeston. But my lil' darling still dislike drinking H2O.

We then took the bus 142 to Potong Pasir MRT. Jeston and I alighted @ Buangkok though he din wanna alight initially. Wanted to follow ah ma home. Gotta coaxed him and my MIL approached the train entrance and let go of his hand.

There was a CC today so very hectic at work. So many things to rush when I'm trying to close the accounts. Met my ex-colls (Ag, LL & HL) for lunch @ Maxwell. It was a relief to meet them to help me de-stress.

Managed to rush out whatever required for the CC today. James picked me near our place and we proceeded to my MIL to pick Jeston for the Chinese class. He reluctantly attended the class as he was not feeling well today. Having bad cough.

Accompanied him in the class till 8 plus before I headed to the pasar malam to find power ranger stuff. Managed to get the sticker for him. Something to perk him. James & my MIL waited for him in the school tgt. Saw Yvonne's daughter, S and bot her to her daddy waiting outside.

Another tiring day for me...

Busy Tuesday

It has been a long while since I updated the blog. Been getting lazier or cos I seldom tag the iPad along ever since I possessed the iPhone. The screen is a tad smaller compared to blogging on the iPad. Nevertheless, all these are excuses...haha

Jeston been staying at his ah ma's place from last wed to fri. He went to Berries as usual on Wednesday. He is in N2 this year with 苏老师 & 张老师 (new teacher). I have to attend e 1st 15 mins with him before I coax him that mummy will need to go and grab the lollipop for him before the shop closes. Yvonne's daughter, S is in K2 class on the same day.

Jan is a busy period for me cos of year end closing. Stayed OT till 9pm on my own in e office. Entire office gone by abt 7pm. Bobian. Gor mia though I hope to have better life soon. Worst thing is work without dinner so empty stomach all thru e evening.

Received a surprise call from hubby @ 8 plus. Told me he wanna pick me up. So glad for that cos was v exhausted. He picked me ard 9pm and we headed to my MIL's place where I tabaoed hor fun for dinner.

My poor darling's coughing returned again. Muz be cos of all e junk food he had been consuming like longans, chocolates, etc. He also pee in the school bus yesterday. He told ah mad he wanted to inform Aunt May but she was busy chatting away. Haizzzz....told him to shout that he needed to go to the loo next time.

Mety ex-colls, Eileen and Jas for lunch @ Coffee and Toast yesterday. Had not met them for quite a while. Had z good catch up. Eileen just returned from her eqypt trip last Dec and got me a scarf. As there were 2 colours, Jas asked her to bring both and let me choose 1st. So nice of her. Chose e grey scarf.

Hope no disturbances today so that I can focus on my year end closing. Always encounter so many queries till I can't touch my accounts and gotta do moonlighting.
